The First Aid course consists of nine 45-minute lessons. Which first aid course do I need?
Our first aid course in Munich is valid for all driving license classes, company first-aiders, trainers, supervisors, students and paramedics.
How long does the first aid course last?
A classic basic first aid course in Munich, which covers all important measures and techniques, lasts 9 teaching units of 45 minutes each = approx. 7.5 hours including breaks.
How long is the first aid course valid?
When you apply for your driving license, our first aid certificate is valid for life. However, road users are recommended to renew it every two to three years, but there is no obligation to refresh their driving license Many places where first aid courses are required (e.g. study or trainer license) only accept current certificates. Please ask them how long ago your first aid course may have taken place. There are special regional regulations for medical students in some federal states, for example North Rhine-Westphalia or Hamburg – it is best to ask your responsible state examination office. For company first-aiders: Two years (BGV A1 / DGUV regulation 1). The course must be refreshed within 2 years, otherwise you will no longer be recognized by the professional associations as a company first-aider.

Can I take a first aid course online?
There are online offers, but these are not valid for driving licenses and company first-aiders. The providers also often write that it is “accepted by many places” or something similar – but they are not permitted for driving licenses. According to the driving license regulations, a practical part is necessary and the training center must be officially recognized. Will I get my money back if I couldn't make the appointment?
If you cancel before the start of the course, you may incur fees in accordance with our terms and conditions. If you do not show up for the course despite registering, the full course fee must be paid.

Lateness? Absences?
Participants are expected to arrive on time. If you are late by more than 15 minutes, participation in the course is unfortunately no longer possible due to the requirements of the professional associations. The teaching time is required by law, which is why we are only allowed to issue a certificate of attendance if the entire teaching time has been attended.
Do I have to take part in the practical exercises in the course?
The practical exercises for carrying out first aid measures are an essential part of the training and are required by law. Therefore, in principle, all course participants must take part (except in the case of proven health/physical impairments). Please also note the above information on clothing.
Do I get a certificate for my first aid course?
All participants receive a first aid course certificate from us for the course. However, this requires that you actively participated in all practical measures and took part in the entire course without any absences, because we confirm your complete attendance with the certificate.

Please note that an eye test certificate for obtaining a driving license has a validity period of 2 years from the date of issue.
Can I also take eye tests and passport photos at the BLR Academy?
Yes, we also offer you the opportunity to take an eye test and passport photos. You can either book these when you register or purchase them spontaneously on site. If you would like to have an eye test or take passport photos, please arrive 20 minutes before the start of the course.
How long is the eye test valid?
The official vision test for the driving license is valid for 2 years and is a requirement for the “small” driving license classes: A, A1, A2, AM, B, BE, L and T.
For the “larger” driving license categories, such as truck or bus, you need an “ophthalmological report”. For this you would have to go to an ophthalmologist and have it done there.
Are there parking options?
Our locations are very centrally located in Munich at the Ostbahnhof and Central Station. There are usually no or only a few parking spaces, so we recommend that you travel by public transport.
What do I need to bring to the course?
A valid ID card or passport for identification in the original (a copy or a picture is not sufficient). Student ID cards and insurance cards are not acceptable documents for personal identification.
If you would like to have an eye test with us, be sure to bring glasses or contact lenses with you! If you have chosen to pay in cash, please bring the course fee that matches the course, if possible.
On the day of the course, company first-aiders need a completed, signed and stamped billing form from the professional association or an original voucher from their accident insurance company.
Since the courses last several hours, it is advisable to bring drinks and food for your own use. If necessary, for the lunch break: some change for drinks and food. We have free coffee, tea and water on site.
We do practical exercises, so we recommend you wear comfortable clothing.
If you want to take notes in the course, please bring writing utensils with you.
Can we book our own course for our employees for our company/facility?
If you have a larger group (minimum 12 participants, maximum 20) of first-aiders to be trained or if you need an individually tailored special course, our trainers will be happy to come to your house or we can also offer a closed course on our premises.
